By David Giles, Global News August 12, 2013 - Saskatoon - The city is projecting to have a two-million dollar deficit in the second quarter. Officials say the deficit is largely due to the spring pothole blitz along with decreased revenue from leisure centre and landfill visits.
Increased fuel costs and landfill equipment breakdowns also contributed to the deficit.
Despite the loss, City Administration says they plan on presenting a balanced budget by the end of the year.
